I gotta hand it to you, Tanner, sitting there while you're getting your oil changed is a place and time to think and wonder because you never know how long you'll be waiting. I just finished cleaning my vehicle's interior when I read your post today. :)
I was 15 and stuck in Pulaski, TN due to car trouble, waiting most impatiently, and I confess, flouncing, a word more descriptive of a toddler than a teenager, when my older brother Todd looked me dead in the eye and said, “Sometimes, you just have to sit & wait.” & I’ve never forgotten that as when I find myself in those wait situations, I start really looking around me, seeing anything I would have ordinarily overlooked. Thank you so much for writing what YOU see and think and feel and what the Holy Spirit, our truest Older Brother, impresses upon you.🫶
I never, ever purchase anything that the oil change guy "recommends" - the dealership is even worse! Simply preys on the fact that we know very little about how things work but we have a big investment in our vehicles, so it often seems logical...
And I love bacon. I may have breakfast for dinner after reading this.
